Background:

Established in 1998, the Georgia CIO of the Year Awards, presented by the Georgia CIO Leadership Association, is an annual awards program honoring the individuals who have demonstrated outstanding technical leadership in Georgia. The awards recognize chief information officers, or those in equivalent positions, who have shown excellence in managing their company’s or organization’s enterprise-wide information systems. The awards are segmented into four categories: nonprofit, corporate, enterprise and global. Finalists and award recipients are chosen by a selection committee comprised of award winners from the previous year.

About the GCLA:

The Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GCLA) is the professional organization for Georgia’s information technology leaders. Its membership is comprised exclusively of chief information officers or individuals in equivalent positions at companies and organizations throughout the state. The GCLA is a nonprofit, noncommercial organization led by an Advisory Board of Georgia CIOs and is underwritten by contributions from five companies, including Deloitte, Intellinet, IBM Internet Security Systems, Microsoft, and Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP.
