Founded in 2003, the Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GCLA) is the professional organization for Georgia’s information technology leaders. Its membership is comprised exclusively of chief information officers or individuals in equivalent positions at companies and organizations throughout the state. Maryann Goebel, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer,
Fiserv
Maryann Goebel is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Fiserv,
Inc. In this
role, Ms. Goebel has oversight responsibility for global IT infrastructure, technology
governance and spearheading programs to increase efficiency and effectiveness of
the company’s dispersed technology resources.
Ms. Goebel joined Fiserv in 2009, bringing more than 30 years of progressive technology
experience, including 15 years as a senior technology officer for some of the world’s
leading companies. Prior to Fiserv, she served as Executive Vice President and
Chief Information Officer for DHL Express in Bonn, Germany, where she managed
an organization of 1,500 people with an annual budget of more than $1 billion, with
responsibilities that included global express delivery into 222 countries.
Prior to this, Ms. Goebel held executive positions with a variety of complex technology
organizations, including 20 years cumulatively with General Motors, where she rose to
Chief Information Officer, North America, and Chief Strategy Officer, GM Information
Systems. Additionally, she worked with PepsiCo Business Solutions Group, where
she was Chief Information Officer; Frito-Lay North America; Bell Atlantic, where she
rose to Vice President, Information Systems and Chief Information Officer, Bell Atlantic
NYNEX Mobile; and technology management and information systems positions with
Texas Instruments, ARCO Oil and Gas Company and The Southland Corporation. She
began her career as a scientific systems programmer analyst with Philadelphia Electric
Company in 1973.
Ms. Goebel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics at Worcester Polytechnic
Institute, Worcester, MA. She is on the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG)
Board of Directors and a member of the 2010 Cisco Board of Advisors. Additionally,
Goebel serves on the host committee for the 2010 TechBridge Digital Ball sponsored
by TechBridge, an Atlanta based nonprofit organization that helps other nonprofits use
technology to better serve the community.

David Guthrie, Chief Technology Officer
PGi
David M. Guthrie is chief technology officer for PGi and is responsible for global technology initiatives, including product management, research & development, strategic partnerships, web development and operations.
Prior to joining PGi in 2003, Mr. Guthrie served as a partner with Fuqua Ventures where he made investments in portfolio companies; led technology-based investments; and served as a strategic consultant to key portfolio companies within the fund. Prior to Fuqua Ventures, he was senior vice president at WebMD, where he was responsible for the technology development and deployment for all content across WebMD's properties. Mr. Guthrie was president and cofounder of ISSI — a software technology consulting company — which created software applications and systems for healthcare, communications and media-based companies.

Edwin Marcial, Chief Technology Officer
Intercontinental Exchange (ICE)
Edwin Marcial, chief technology officer for ICE, is responsible for all systems development and overall technology strategy. He oversees the software design and development initiatives of ICE's information technology professionals in the areas of project management, software development and quality assurance. Mr. Marcial joined the software development team at Continental Power Exchange, Inc. in 1996 and has 12 years of IT experience building large-scale systems in the energy industry. Prior to joining Continental Power Exchange, Inc., he led design and development teams at GE-Harris building software applications for the company's energy management systems. Mr. Marcial earned a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the College of Engineering at the University of Florida.
